Dalmatian - Hurt Me

When Dalmatian took a long hiatus break from publicity, I had only song to remind me of them which was their first single "Round 1". There were actually several songs released after "Round 1" but the promotion/publicity wasn't big enough to overcome competitions. When I read of their comeback with "E.R", I was excited as the teaser seemed promising & cool (tattooed toned bodies lying about...hmm). But apparently the group went through some changes of members (Simon came in while DayDay left). No complaints to Simon though for he immediately ER-ed his way into my "List" (Japanese mixed Korean, what more can I ask X3) In their album "State of Emergency" (the album cover is really cool & creative), I have 2 favourite songs which are "E.R" and "Hurt Me".

In this post, I'm gonna talk about their song titled "Hurt Me". This song does not have an MV but the hearing it was enough for me to get addicted for quite a loooooong time (a month plus I think). The piano+accoustic intro caught my interest but in a subtle, almost sad way which matches the lyrics. The whole song talks about how painful he feels after the girl betrays him (dumped/break-up/cheated). The lyrics are quite straight forward with no complex metaphor, allowing listeners to understand easily. Fortunately, this song does not end with him being in endless pain. In the last verse, he turns the table around & takes the pain as boosters for himself. Girls can also relate to this song as most of the lyrics are general, excluding 2 mentions of "girl".

Vocally, I still can't identify who sings which part. I have several guesses but there's quite a bit of layering so its hard to dissect each voice. There's not performance of "Hurt Me" yet so far, on stage or on radio live. I really hope they perform it. Anticipating Simon & Inati's parts ^^ can you believe Inati is 31(!!) years old?? He's hot for his age (seriously, check him out in E.R MV). Simon is 26 which is quite aged for a new member but again...no complaints ^^ Below is a screencap of the group in the E.R MV.
